Here at our office, we are a family oriented and compassionate chiropractic clinic dedicated to serving our community. We love people, we believe the body has an incredible capacity to heal, and at our office, we are committed to helping our patients live out their healthiest, pain-free lives!

We are committed to maximizing and optimizing the amazing, life-changing innate ability of the body to heal itself.

Dr. Meier treats a wide range of symptoms, including but not limited to: migraines, sciatica, low back pain, neck pain, TMJ, etc. Of course, all of these diagnoses have a different treatment approach. Some need an adjustment, some need additional therapies, some don’t need chiropractic care. Whatever your need, Dr. Meier sees to it that you get the care you deserve, even if it is not from us.

Therapy Techniques

Adjustments

Dr. Meier performs manual adjustments for the most part, but offer instrument adjustments when the need arises. Diversified, Gonstead, and Thompson drop are the techniques used.

Electrical Muscle Stimulation (EMS)

This type of electrotherapy stimulates muscle contraction using electrical impulses in order to strengthen weak muscles, reduce swelling, relieve pain and help heal wounds.

Therapeutic Exercises

These therapeutic exercises are movements and physical activities designed to restore function and flexibility, improve strength and decrease pain.

Class IV Laser Therapy

Laser therapy is a medical treatment that uses focused light to stimulate a process called photobiomodulation, or PBM. This interaction triggers a biological cascade of events to increase cellular metabolism, decrease in pain, reduction in muscle spasm, and improved microcirculation to injured tissue.

Ultrasound

Ultrasound is often used to provide deep heating to soft tissue structures in the body. Deep heating tendons, muscles, or ligaments increases circulation to those tissues, in order to help the healing process.

Intersegmental Mechanical Traction

This type of therapy mobilizes the spinal column while simultaneously stretching the ligaments and muscles. This helps to increase blood flow and oxygen to discs, ligaments and muscles, thereby improving balance, strength and mobility.

Dr. Meier and his team are miracle workers! I came to The Bridge with severe scoliosis pain after multiple disc tears and within the first month I saw dramatic improvement. Corey

Dr. Meier and his experienced staff have been treating me for over a year and as an athlete his protocols have helped my recovery tremendously. Not only does he thoroughly explain the reasons for different treatments, he actually cares about recovery and maintenance in the long run. He not only cares for how I am feeling this week to how I will be feeling months and years from now.

Dr. Meier is the owner and lead doctor of The Bridge Chiropractic. As a former professional baseball player, he has experienced first-hand the incredible power and success of chiropractic. After suffering a career ending injury, he had extensive experience with chiropractic, physical therapy, and orthopedics. Seeing the healing power and life changing effectiveness of chiropractic, he knew that improving people’s lives through chiropractic was his purpose and calling.

Prior to becoming a chiropractor, Dr. Meier had always been involved in elite athletics. After playing baseball, basketball, and football, and earning All-State honors in high school, he began a very successful career in Division I baseball at Charleston Southern University. He was a four-year starter, breaking the single season hits record his junior year, while finishing in the top two in single -season runs scored and stolen bases in CSU history.

In the beginning of his first professional season, a season ending hamstring injury ignited his love and passion for the human body. He saw how through the removal of the nerve interference and the structural restoration of the spine, he was able to return to the field better than ever. Instead of signing his contract the following year, he decided to enroll immediately to become a chiropractor in order to give to others the life changing healing and health benefits that he experienced through chiropractic. After earning his Doctorate of Chiropractic from Sherman College, Dr. Meier returned home to Charleston, SC. Born and raised as a Charlestonian, he is dedicated to taking care of his family and neighbors throughout the entire city. For many years, he has been heavily involved in volunteering in a multitude of ways. He has spent time in various prison ministries through Impact Sports, and for years he was an active board member for Carolina Miracle League, an organization dedicated to children with special needs in sports. Currently, he is a board member for Charleston Animal Society and helps with the Hope Center through Cathedral of Praise.

Passionate about elite performance and maximizing the body’s potential, he still works with multiple Major League Baseball teams and professional athletes across a variety of sports. When he is not treating patients or volunteering, he enjoys power-lifting, mixed martial arts, and spending time with his puppy, Koda. Dr. Meier is excited to help you take control of your health and to optimize all that you have to offer!
